Sorry guys! This thread is moved over to HERE. Will post more updates over there! --Old Post Below-- *This Music pack is not yet fully done, more to come soon.* I played a lot of Stardew Valley and I loved it very much, but some musics in-game aren't not quite ok for me so I decided to change some musics into one of my favorite farming + RPG games, Harvest Moon and Rune Factory. This music pack overwrites some Original Music from the game. --Change Logs & Downloads--- v0.1 Initial Version. v0.2 Added some musics from Rune Factory. v0.3 Added even more musics + new sound when fainting. This is the list of .wav I managed to find for people who want to change their own music. List Here **Now on Google Spreadsheets.** Also the songs that I added are on the list. *Some musics on the list might not be in the current Wave Bank* I don't take requests but you can give me which song/SFX from Harvest Moon/Rune Factory I should replace/add to the game! --How to install this music pack-- Backup your original Wave Bank.xwb from \Stardew Valley\Content\XACT\ Rename the downloaded file to Wave Bank.xwb. Overwrite the original file with the downloaded file. Happy farming! Credits to : Drogean - For modding process and his efforts. ConcernedApe - For this amazing game! Marvelous Entertainment - For both beautiful + amazing games and soundtracks. Mucchan - For his list of .wav files. Modding Page Drogean's More Music Mod
If you could figure out a way to fit in Whale Island Towers from Rune Factory Frontier (and used in the US version of Rune Factory 4 on Autumn Road) I'd be thrilled. I personally think it'd make for a good night time or winter track. Though it could also go into the icy levels of the mines.
Just for the record, you're thanking the wrong company - Natsume only translated and published the games known to us as Harvest Moon, they're developed by Marvelous. And nowadays it's called Story of Seasons and translated in-house by XSEED while Natsume's making its own copycat series using the old HM name. Just gotta get that info out there, 'cuz it really seems like a lot of people don't know about that still.
Is there a way for you to make it not override some of the vanilla tracks? If so it would instantly make this mod jump from a 7 to 10 in my mind
Most of some musics are Ambient so they always play in the background. But some need to override/replace to add more music.
Yeah, and it gets really fiddly which one of those you replace too. Because in a lot of places CA cheats a bit and reuses the sounds but pitches them differently with the engine (the horse clopping and footsteps all being the same single beat noise for example).
I don't know which music is that, I didn't play RFF that much. But I managed to ripped BGMs out of it's files, can you listen and tell me which is your music? Here's the -->RIPPED RFF BGM<--
Ha ha, I actually link to a youtube page of it in my post, but I can understand not wanting to listen to every single track just to find it. It's BGM_61_32k.wav the one with the clock ticking noises. (That said BGM_20_32k.wav is also a pretty funky track for playing in the mines or at night. Too bad you couldn't reasonably have more than one night track. BGM_60_32k.wav also makes a killer summer track.)
I'm a fan of Rune Factories 1-4. Frontier was okay, but I barely remember the game itself. 4 and 3 have been the best so far. I only went to Frontier here because Rune Factory, like the Harvest Moon games, often recycles its tracks. Frontier has the best collection of recycled music tracks from the other games.
Ha ha, that's true! I honestly feel like Rune Factory from 2 on are really good games that outshine Harvest Moon quite a bit as far as plot pacing and characters. Story of Seasons has been catching up though.
