We at Innovative Ideas Inc. have long known of Light Matter. However, until now, we were unable to harness its power. But, thanks to our wonderful scientists who work day and night, we are proud to announce a new line of products, which all harness Light Matter.

What is Light Matter, and how do I get some? To put it simply, Light Matter is what’s left over from supernovas. This matter is incredibly powerful, seeing as it comes from harnessing one of nature’s most powerful happenings. To collect it, all you need is our famous M.O.M.

Light Matter can be used for all kinds of things.

There’s our patented Flashbomb, which, when thrown, emits a gigantic flash of light that blinds everything for five seconds. It’s great for disorienting your enemies, but be careful. If you’re too close, you just might end up blinding yourself. To make a Flashbomb, all you need is 30 pieces of glass, as well as one piece of Light Matter.

Then there’s our Vaporizer. This weapon uses Light Matter to recreate a supernova – but weaponized. The user of the gun is perfectly safe, but whatever is on the other end of the weapon isn’t. Most enemies will disintegrate. However, this weapon is not very effective on humans, barely harming them at all. Keep that in mind when you’re running around vaporizing things. One piece of Light Matter will create enough energy to fire twenty five times before being burnt out and becoming useless.

If you don't like using fancy weapons, you can always just throw the Light Matter at your enemy. If that happens, it will stick to them and burn a hole through them, usually resulting in their death. If you choose to do this, make sure to where thick gloves so you don't end up killing yourself.

If you’re not interested in combat, you can still use Light Matter to your advantage. Maybe you want to explore a few caves, but are worried they won’t be bright enough. Simply combine a flashlight with enough Light Matter, and you’ll have the brightest beam you’ve ever seen. You can also make torches this way – simply place some Light Matter on a stick and cover the tip with some glass, and voila. Instant brightness.

What are you waiting for? The release of Starbound. Get yours today!

Innovative Ideas Incorporated is not responsible for any injuries that occur while using Light Matter. Avoid looking directly at a Flashbomb, or any Light Matter related object. Doing so might cause blindness, in the form of burning your eyes out of their sockets. The Vaporizer is known to malfunction, and rebound the beam of energy back on itself, causing a huge explosion. Use it at your own risk. Innovative Ideas Incorporated wants to remind you to have fun blowing shit up - but be careful.

    Con7Rad7 Giant Laser Beams

This is a pretty nice idea, especially the added solar panel part

Could this be a inverse of Dark matter?
Instead of harnessing such matter, wouldnt you rather harness a star for many more years to come? :p
Such as creating an electromagnetic field that feeds off the radiation that is created from the star and then sending said energy off via laser?

    Dark matter, you say? ;)

Anyway, no. Light matter is too precious to waste by making an electromagnetic field.

Not saying anything about light matter, but rather an alternate form of collect energy. Besides, wouldnt going into a supernova be stupidly dangerous? on a scale of one - duke nukem forever?

Which is why you don't go. A robot does - specifically, the M.O.M.

If i didnt come across that thread, I think I would've laughed alot xD
It would be a good idea theoretically speaking, but then you could literally, leave the game on and it farms it all for you~

And the key to M.O.M.s is that they have very low storage space, so it's not as simple.
