Sadly, I've come to conclusion I will never play starbound till its 100%. By that I mean that its of what the devs first intended the game to be. A 1.0 release.
@Ominethious Now, don't start that again ... ! @Rob OtMan I think the hotkeys for MM, wiring tool and paint tool are R, T, and Y respectively. @Titanium Thank [your chosen deity here] that I'm not the only one to find that mission difficult. @Corrigane was chastising me yesterday for not finding it "super easy," I was starting to think there's something wrong with me*. But yeah, take many bandages, move fast, don't fall to your death, stay calm. I died once to taking too many hits from energy beams, once to fall damage, and once to more energy beams at the same instant that the boss died. Finally managed it the fourth time. @Rob OtMan has great advice, but I'd add the following: If you're on your second or third try on this level, and you've already looted a good gun from one of the crates, stop worrying about killing zombies/Moontants. It takes super long to whittle your way through the horde. Just get double jump, and run through the level ignoring all the zombies (though you will need to kill two of the big dangerous ones - do not engage them directly if you're trying to save on bandages, just jump onto a platform and shoot them repeatedly). I finally finished the level on my fourth try and killed only three or four normal zombies and two super-zombies on the way to the boss room. It's actually not that extremely hard in retrospect, the main problem is needing to redo the base every time you fail. I still say it's a good level of challenge though, not super-disgustingly-easy as some shameless braggarts here seem to think * Side note: when somebody says they have problems with a part of a video game, never start off your statement with "oh, it's super easy you whiny bastard." It's like replying to a technical forum with "well, I have such and such a setup, and I have experienced no problems!" Don't be that guy
It's sad to say that this starbound update has literally killed lots of servers. Chucklefish fell into the 'griefers' trap and now lots of servers are being ruined, most of them are targeting the #1 server 'IloveBacons'.
since the update came out ive put in a fair few hours collecting resources and upgrading and customizing the interior of my ship but sadly today i've run into a problem. when arriving back on my ship via beaming i was greeted with the very first run down non functional version of the ship. even more annoyingly because the ship doesnt work i cant beam out or rebuild my ship. so now im stuck in a rusting tin can. p.s dont want to restart hopefully an update soon will fix this
What, do I speak only bs when I mean I'd rather not have the Beta, or most people not to have it. While I admit its fun, I really wished they didn't throw out the Beta so early in development. I mean, just look at the revamping, and coupious amount of items in the game. If they don't say that this game is 50% completed to how they saw Starbound as, I'm not touchin it. Reason why is becuase hundreds of backers of pre-orderers like me lost all interest in the game. Now I'd have loved for chucklefish to have extended the beta farther from when they released it. Becuase in true honesty, this game atm is not a beta, its an Alpha.
Okay, okay... http://playstarbound.com/category/patch-notes/ <- this too. ^^ (although that's only stable and unstable, now that I look carefully at it. But it seems that for some particular people, nightlies don't count anyways.)
I kind of miss having a nanostove (campfire on a human spaceship just seems silly), but other than that, this update has been fan-flippin'-tastic. *huggles the new matter manipulator* Oh, also? Taking out the cast time for forging ores/glass? Cookies. I owe you lots of cookies. Keep up the good work, folks!
Fianlly, game is able to work, still not sure if can play it actually, 1s t(acidental) tryial to play actual game, not just create character, ended up with respite of game, didn't tryed again, but at least i was able to re-create my old characters, and make a new Novakid fellow to group, so for now i'm less worry about the future of game, but few performance fixes might be not bad idea at all.
Coulda fooled me. I was already doing everything you said (except hiding under the platform, because that doesn't work and you will die if you try it). Sorry you did come across as arrogant rather than helpful. Tho I do know judging tone of voice in a text-based medium is tricky. No hard feelings or anything, just an observation that "the level is easy, you're just stupid" or the tech forum equivalent ("I didn't encounter this problem on my system") are not helpful comments. Just a personal bugbear I guess.
oh my, my deepest most sincere apologies! why am i absolutely flabergasted! me? arrogant... oh christ, seriously i could not try any harder to describe myself, thank you my dearest! ah well, next time ill honey coat my words, i guess i should behave a bit, dont you agree?
