Can anyone tell me exactly where the option to update the matter manipulator is in the AI interface? I can't find it, for whatever reason.
oh lol, no, i had no idea what you meant. that sucks though, you'd think they'd be aware that people want to play their game on old machines since its so low-tech.[DOUBLEPOST=1422724851][/DOUBLEPOST] it's under "let's talk", tabs on the right change between missions and upgrades. the liquid upgrade takes steel bars i think.
SHORT VERSION: TALK TO S.A.I.L, IN "LET'S TALK", USE MM UPGRADE IN THE ISSUABLE COMMANDS. Of course. You should upgrade your matter manipulator. S.A.I.L. will tell you what you need: Pretty sure it's 10 copper bars for the first upgrade, and then there's the second upgrade.. which I forgot what it needed, but S.A.I.L. will tell you, so that's fine, just gather these materials for the second upgrade. Also second upgrade is liquid manipulation. So, now that you have that, you need to find a desert planet. If there aren't any desert planets in your system YOU'RE F***ED. But there should be one, so, go to one, and search underground till you find oil. It looks like dark-colored water, but it's oil. So, just mine that like it's a block and you'll pickup oil. At the outpost there's a quest for iron crafting table, just do that, then, with the iron crafting table, craft a alloy furnace if you haven't already. Once you have the alloy furnace, use that oil and the iron to make the STEEL! ... I hope you like mining, you need a metric f---ton of steel, like you said yourself. 10 glass, 1 campfire, and 10 iron bars for alloy furnace. Wiki is often outdated.
The OP said it wrong, the best is: I used the following command in a cmd window at .\Starbound\win32 : asset_unpacker.exe ..\assets\packed.pak ..\backuppak\ and it worked just fine Just stay inside your win32 folder
Nope. Still f%cked. @Down: Yeah, yeah. Got it. also just ,,..\backuppak\'' wasn't working. Wrong folder but who cares. I can move it later. Right?
look, write this down: "asset_unpacker ..\assets\packed.pak ..\backuppak\" and it should work like a charm, don't write D\steamlibrary... don't know if it will work, but
You could set in config to boot using that folder which you mentioned Well it worked for me tho, yay I did it like this "handleFatalSignals" : true, "handleInterruptSignal" : true, "assetSources" : [ "../backuppak", "../assets/user" Well it kinda worked, but further than character selection menu I couldn't move :c Waited little bit more and it worked finally
Sure. Seems to work, so hey. And then... HELL YEAH! Starbound community ftw! Ofc there are some minuses. Game loads weeks and weights 2.68 GB's, but hey! It works!
how are you getting quests without the teleporter enabled? well, try enabling the tp and then another thing for the matter manipulator should show up, keep using those until you get the liquid collection upgrade.
2 gb ram, 1.6 dual core. Am I just lucky, that this game doesn't run like shit anymore, loads chunks where it supposed to, and ain't crashing all the time? Almost finished my little house with no technical problems.
