First off, I'd just like to say that I currently don't own the game yet (waiting for a sale), but I do have a massive amount of experience with Terraria and Darkout and other games of this style of play, so I'm very familiar with these kinds of games. If the devs are open to weapon suggestions from random ppl... I have a good one for you. As the title suggests, it's a large hand held cannon with a huge kick. This kind of weapon would not be a common or easy to use weapon. - Firing the gun knocks you (and the target) back up to 20 blocks distance. - If you're up against a surface and fire in the opposite direction of that surface, you take severe impact damage and break through a layer of blocks enough to fit the player. Same effect on the target being fired at... the target breaks through blocks as well taking extra damage. - If within 10 blocks distance from the surface being impacted by player or target, minor fall damage is taken, no blocks are damaged. - Can be used to dig into ground knocking the player up to 20 blocks in the air each time (potentially causing fall damage). - Has an extremely slow rate of fire. This kind of weapon can effectively cause an insane amount of damage to a boss if the boss is near or against a surface it's about to impact into... but obviously this would not be a typical weapon to use on smaller mobs as you'd probably end up dead in no time. This kind of weapon requires some skill and creative thinking with each shot, which is the point of this weapon. The problem I see with games like these is the fact that there's too many "pew pew" weapons that require no skill to use and not nearly enough comical / absurd weapons where every shot matters and you can't just spam the screen in hopes of hitting something. For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.
It's what lacks in all games of this genres which was why I suggested it. btw, I bought it... figured it would take way too long to see a sale anytime soon.
