Hametsu's would be sort of like trolls from LOTR.

Hametsu's started off as massive creatures, preferring a solitary life style. They live in mountainous regions mostly. Their home planet Gorghai, a terrain planet with massive mountains, has no oceans, barely any Flora, and scarce other animals. Hammer's (as i will now call them from now on) require little to no food, and no water at all to live, they consume the ground and rocks. Hammer's are about 40Px's tall, with a rough hide and elephant like toes. They have two legs, two arms, two hands, and eight (four on each hand) fingers. The arms, torso and legs are usually a dark grey or brown color. The head is very stout and differs greatly in color. blue, red, green, even some gold and silver. This is due mostly to any precious metals they may consume. There are no real differences in gender next to orientation of the eyes, vertical: male horizontal: female.

Around the end of the Hammer's caveman age, their planet was hit by a meteor, filled with gems found no where else on the planet.

The crater would be called the "the Sparkling Valley", which is where the first (and only) Hammer civilization would be located.
After this there is only a few technological advancements (armor, swords, etc). they do not allow any outsiders near the crater, to do so would mean immediate death. They will otherwise remain friendly.

Well for one, they can't be larger than the other races, they have to be the same outline, second, them not having to consume water or food interferes with the implemented food system.

true, but thats why they eat rocks. its the way they "survive" think of them as rock giants in a way. they do need food, just not "human" food.
i didnt know they had to be the same size as everything else. it even asks in suggestions how big they are compared to humans.

Well, yes they do have to be the same size as all the other races, I would also advise you to get some history and some custom artwork in there as that would help your case
