This suggestion is for planets that only appear in the month of October but really bring out the spirit of Halloween these planets should not be just all Jack-o-lanterns as Halloween is blandly shown in other games these planets will be creepy, disturbing, or just plain twisted in a way that makes the player more immersed in the event. there could be multiple planets with different themes and they each have different attributes making them all unique. These planets could even have specific materials which can only be found there along with side-quests with themed rewards or themed tasks
I personally think a Halloween event should be implemented better than just planets like this appearing, or just not at all.
I feel it should not just be planets but the planets are just a suggestion for an addition to any Halloween events they may end putting into the game. I am only covering a small idea that is part of a possibly large subject
See although I agree with KuroHinotori, I think it would be awesome to get a distress call from an unknown source on Halloween, that leads you to an entire Halloween themed solar system, where you have to move from one planet to the next, with them getting progressively creepier.
I agree with the progressiveness but I also feel each planet should have a different genre to it making it uniquely creepy like one could be desolate where you have enemies with strange attacks or movement patterns and the other could be completely insane and would mess with your head creating a psychological horror
I'm sure there will be seasonal updates with either special items, monsters, events, or weapons, etc. that will come about once the game stabilizes. Although this is not an MMO it sure does feel like one and they are always handled that way when it comes to seasons.
Though there are reasons to not include holiday based events, since they're kind of immersion-breaking, when it comes to the lore anyway.
sure but it isn't entirely required to participate but if you do it is just another fun experience in the game which gets you in the mood plus I feel a game like starbound needs a bit of a creepy side
