its sort of annoying how longer hairs don't really move around im sure by copying cape physics this should be possible or something similar seriously please do this

Maybe you should use less hair gel?

To be honest, miniscule details to the game like that don't really change anything. It wouldn't be necessary and it doesn't sound like a major problem to me. Though an addition like this could be cool, like I say, it's just not necessary.

It does sound like mod territory, guess its got to be earned one sprite at a time.

It's not mod territory. It's not even close to mod territory. "Copying cape physics" is as far away from mod territory as it gets.

I'm saying that its the kind of thing that is more a priority for the players than the devs, and that the fastest way to get it done is to make sprites of it, rather than arbitrarily decide when is a good time for development to work on this sort of thing, which will be likely chock full of objections.

i don't think we need to go that far with hair physics this IS a pixelated game

Exactly, you would have to create every single frame separately. Plus, you would need to make every frame separately for every single hair style.

^ That. is what I was about to say. Character animation is more tied with movement, with each step of movement displaying a different frame, a different source. The character is itself a bunch of separate sprites, each displayed when an action is taken. For "Hair physics" you'd have to add at ~least~ 3-5 new frames for the hair, per hair style, and figure out how to tie it to the movement animations.

Plus, this is just a pixel game. If you want a game that really has little to no excuse for not having hair physics then go look at Skyrim.
