so i eventually got an ok picture of the largest cross orb weaver i could find in our garden.
its a female that -even for their naturally large sizes- is pretty large.
I managed to grab a picture of her, and a young male was approaching her for courtship, so it gives you some idea of scale.

My sweet patootie. Nukes are fukn awesome. Like, my favorite thing in science is the study of nukes, their internal and external workings, and aftershock effects.

although the science behind it is truely facinating, i believe we shouldnt use nuclear arments for war. heck lets stop using weapons full stop, and prevent any killing of any kind and learn how to get along with everyone and everything.
If anything we should use nerf guns and foam bats and resolve all our issues in duels that way.

caddy's drum work on this is really good.

also if you like jontron and dont know him, check out his main channel.
he does some pretty neat reviews, a lot of which are ps1 games or newer games.
pretty cool guy, i think he's funny, check him out.
    10/10 would watch again.

    1. Nukes: while a majority will and are being disassembled, there will always be multiple nuclear warheads on the table.Second part of that is that there was never really that much of a possibility of them being used ever again in any recognized first strike/war after Japan, unless any leader went mad, in which case there would be subordinates who'd stop said leader. Of course, accidents could have happened, but hey, small chances. MAD worked well back then, and it continues to work today. Socio- and geopolitcs prevent such instances. (Terrorism... different things)
    2. Weaponry: Make it a fact of life, baby, but that AK and M16's gonna be around for a loooooooooooong time.

Makes the world more dramatic and makes life much more worth living, in my opinion.
(damn civilians don't got any idea.)
We were given this info in the National Cadet Core, and told to form our own opinions. Aren't the Boy Scouts similar? Wait, no, the Boy Scouts aren't militar- whoops, minor mixup.

    you make excillent points
and i understand why it is around and the benifites
but i still dont think peoples lives are worth this instingive urge to fight.
killing is fun ya, but what about the people we kill, their lives, the people who cared about them.
i just find it too much of a weight to make actually having weapons worth it.
its like, if you were gonna take a crap on your neighbors lawn who fondled a tree and you hate him to death, but your third dog who truely cared about you and actually make you care back would become a vegitable from shock.
would you still duece on the lawn?
i wouldnt, and i think crappin on lawns should be prevented fullstop.
maybe we could simulat the action of laying the duece, without actually having the dogs being shocked ???

    Have you ever killed someone?
I imagine that makes weapons seem a lot less fun

I never said weapons were fun. I said they made the world dramatic (and I never said it was good drama, like Gravity Falls drama), and life more worth living. Like, it informs you well enough that life is finite.

I, however, object to having guns at home. You wanna protect your home? Learn personal defense, and be aware.
You want guns, go join the army/Coast Guard/go to a shooting range. Or join the police. But then no military weapons.[DOUBLEPOST=1409795936][/DOUBLEPOST]
Nobody but a psychopath finds killing fun.
There isn't war because it's "fun"

War is born of necessity, and its concept, instinct. Even instinctively, it is not fun for any creature on this planet, as far as I am aware. Except mosquitoes. I swear those assholes are on the MDK-drugs.

i suppose that makes sense to some extent, and then we come down to my final point.
i dont think cops should have weapons, they should just strip until their naked infront of the criminals until they pass out from uncomfortableness.

Cops require weaponry of a sort. Glocks and tasers = good. While I disapprove of mass usage of assault weapons, ala Ferguson, having the backup AR-15/Remington 500 in the police car is good.

I have to disagree about the no one but military/police having guns thing. Please tell me how a farmer, who owns a large amount of land in the middle of no where, can protect their livelihood from coyotes, wolves, bears, and/or poachers (I'm not just talking American farmers here)?
