Humanity has intelligence to some level,
but how much is a subjective combination of what we know and how we perceive the matter.
would that not mean that it's humanity's opinion that humanity is intelligent?

  7. Intelligent is an English word, and the English language was made by humans. So, yes, it's technically humanity's opinion that we are intelligent, but it's not like there's any other way. You're trying to take it way too far out of perspective. What I'm saying is that humans, based on the English definition of intelligence, and in comparison to every single discovered organism, are intelligent.

My homework is a large stack of papers
I feel bad for the teacher, he has to grade it
Course, then again, I had to do it
What proof have you that we're not intelligent?

Fair enough, i suppose i can go with that.
though something that is bothering me about the wiki explanation is stuff like how do we analyse something like abstract thought, emotional knowledge or understanding? what if an organisme thought these things but didnt express them?

if an animal isn't evolved to communicate, does that denounce intelligence?

and isn't creativity very, very, subjective?

There's a video out there of a 6v6 ditto triple battle. One of them was shiny on each team, and the non-shiny ditto managed to transform into a shiny one.

That depends on how you define intelligence
If we're using the human definition of intelligence then yes yes we're the most intelligent at maths we made up and linguistics we created and understanding scientific theories we fabricated
but if intelligence is potential instead-
    WAIT!
this is why we recheck all our info before we use arguments that may be long dead!
cause a year ago, my evidence was disproved

Just because it doesn't speak our "words", doesn't mean it isn't intelligent. Many beings are intelligent in their own way and no one is stating that they are not, but that doesn't mean that anything is more intelligent than anything else as something like that just isn't important.

I personally think that we may be the most advanced race, but the organism that is "winning", or has the highest chance of going for the longest and still existing will either be bacteria and/or humans.
And/or because wherever humans go, bacteria follows.
    inb4 off topic

i know that, but the definition of intelligence according to wikipedia (or the english languadge more of) was what shark used, and it stated intelligence was based off those qualities.
so i was simply asking how we would percieve or analyses these qualities. (but well aware of to be intelligent you dont need all of these qualities)

and i wasnt asking if day no talk english dat make em dum dum
i was asking if they havnt evolved a form of communication(at all)(which again is one of the qualities) would denounce its intelligence.

I put "words" in quotations for a reason, words are more than just what we speak, beings are fully capable of speaking without uttering a single word. Smells, facial movements, they way something carries itself, can have dozens of meanings.
How dare you bring my mother into this!

Well today has been exciting so far
Dosed off in all three of my morning classes since I got no sleep, got out of class early in english, and now it's time for physics
At least after this I don't have much homework, so I'll probably use that time to check out Xenoblade

the whole concept is called communicating, which is why i'm wondering why we need to bring this up.

i was simply curious as to if a creature had evolved to have no means of communication would be considered unintelligent. since it was stated by the source that it would need to be able to use a form o communication, else it be an unintelligent creature.
(like no body language, odor, stuff like that. it would classify as an evolutionary/development trait rather then a portion of intelligence, which is why i asked if a lack of communication was a lack of intelligence according to the source.)
