    Your best bet is to wait for tier 5 and up to find guns. To beat ranged bosses, either cheese them or use throwing weapons and bombs you find in chests. Guns are really rare and weak in the lower levels right now.

    But if you happen to find a flying avian airship, the quartermaster always sells guns.
