Everyone in Starbound wants guns, but they are pretty rare until you get to the next few sectors. Maybe they could add a gun store. I don't know if they ever plan on doing this, but maybe the shop could get more stuff in it as you progress through the sectors. It would look like a market stall, with a glass case in the front to show some of the guns they have. The roof would be camouflage colored. - Guns Galore - - When you first find it, it sells weaker pistols. - As you get through the sectors, the weapons he sells become better. - Weapons he sells can't be found anywhere else, they are always the same when you buy them. - Sells some throwable weapons as you progress, like grenades and daggers. - Weapon 'Progression' - - Alpha - Pistols - Beta - Shotguns, Assault Rifles, and Machine Pistols - Gamma - Grenades, Throwing Daggers, and Molotovs - Delta - Grenade Launchers, Sniper Rifles, and Flame Throwers - Sector X - RPGs, and weapons normally only available in dungeons / NPC areas As more sectors and guns are added, this will be changed up a bit.
It sounds like an interesting concept, usually looking for Avain pirate ships has gun dealers but it's really hard. Then again, they are having more sneak peaks at different stores at outposts so maybe we could see something like this implemented.
