I'm betting on Starbound coming out on Dec. 1st in a Contest for this on the Unofficial Starbound Forums. (Which, sadly, don't seem to be doing all that well...)

I think it's highly unlikely that it'll be released this year. Maybe first quarter of 2013.

But, like any other Starbound-hankerin' fan of the game, I would love to be proved wrong.

moderators as far as i know are just respectable forum members who were chosen for peacekeeping duty.
if i get enlisted by the army during the zombie apocalypse, that dosent make me a soldier.

i meant that as far as i know, many moderators are just normal (altho respectable) forum-goers who wer enamed for peacekeeping duty. it dosent mean that all of a sudden they have more information on the game.
if tomorrow i was named moderator, im asked to keep these forum enjoyable, im not given info on the game all of a sudden
