Guessing Game - How long do you think until Starbound is out? :O

Dragons are fantasy, but break em down. Giant lizards? See dinosaurs. Wings? Nothing unnatural about wings. Fire breathing? Well.... see spitting cobras and add flamability to the venom, or just produce methane in a lung-like organ. Toss in electric eel style ignition, and you've got your darwin-approved fire breather. So wouldnt rule them out from appearing on some random planet.

 

Dragonriders of Pern is technically Sci-Fi, in the grand scheme of their universe.

 

Based on Tiy's recent IRC convo, my guess is it'll be officially released nowhere before April, possibly May or even June.

To sum it up, the development is heavily focused on the complex program coding ("systems") that will make the later additions of content (e.g., armors) much easier and much quicker. Therefore, there isn't much for them to reveal content-wise yet, but rather make a roadmap that will inform us of their current progress, to prevent our excitement from completely vanishing.

 

Two to four months is my guess.

I think the beta will be out soon, probably around February or March. Hopefully it will be because I can't wait any longer : (

 

I believe beta will arrive March or April. Febuary is almost here and if we are lucky they tell us it arrives in March, if we are unlucky they wait until March and tell us the game arrives in April. (And I can't wait any longer than that, I WANT TO PLAY! )

I don't care when ;D As long as its before/after I move so there for my computer can be set up.

 

I just want that roadmap available so I can see how close it is more transparently. I'm VERY sure something like that being visible soon would ease a lot of fans into the long final waiting here.

Till then Ill just continue screaming internally and drowning it out with Tanks and old DOS fps games.

x3 rebirth = egosoft says nothing updates nothing angers community
tyi = regular updates, delaying game constantly for perfection but keeps fans happy with easter eggs, compeitions and other goodies theres a big difference that said they have to be careful excitement doesnt drop off to much theres a balance theres only so long u can tag people along before a competitor gets to market or ppl start thinking vapourware
