-Hello there, I heard about this competition a while ago, and now I've finally gotten round to actually posting it. I'm surprised at how well it came out, I hope you all enjoy it.

I introduce to you the Grundle.

    Overview:

The Grundle prefers woodland areas, but is not unknown to be found in many other environments. It is a rare occurence to find the being, the chances of being in the presence of two of the fine beast is next to none. Being relatively timid creatures, they won't approach the player immediately. If they feel threatened, they will not hesitate to attack however. It is not impossible to tame these beings, an adorable addition to any party.

    Appearance:

The Grundle has been known to be found with antler like horns or grass-like camouflage, as well as it's most common form seen above. They are slightly taller then humans and posses shaggy brown fur, thickest around their torso, arms and head. This is to protect them from their own attacks (See below).

    Abilities:

Grundles posses mutations in their organs that allow them to manipulate energy remotely. They use this to 'drain' the heat from the surrounding air/gas and concentrate into energy that they can then use for two different things.

-Use to send out pulse of kinetic energy that launches a wave of compressed particles at opponents, much like the effect of explosions. This can travel far and will knock back enemies.

-Cause excessive heat in a concentrated area, causing those opposing them to go up in flames.

-Use it to quickly move to a different location. Their powerful thighs contain muscles that allow for short blasts of fast movement, meaning Grundles appear to teleport to the human eye. Grundles are relatively immobile apart from this.

-If an threat gets too close, Grundles have been known to swing their large arms and knock back the unwary.

Note: When drawing the energy from surround molecules, the area becomes cold and freezes, damaging opponents (Grundles ward against this with their excessively thick fur). While they are drawing energy from the air, Grundles are left open to attack for one or two seconds.

Please tell me what you think!

It's alright. Go into a bit more detail into what he actually DOES. Nice idea anyway.

Thanks, I've gone into more detail about their abilities.

-Also, please ignore the blatant misuse of the English language in the title, we all have our mental lapses ever now and again right?

I really like it, great job!

I like the idea of potentially passive creatures, plus he would be awesome to have on your team.
Great concept, and lovely art too!

I really like this idea! One of the best I've seen. If my creature beats this, I'll be dumbfounded!

@Tiger I hear they are awfully fond of certain berries...

Thanks for the support guys, I feel inspired to do some more drawings! And if anyone ever wants to try doing it in pixel art, they would be more than welcome.

Thanks, I really like your style with Bad Moon! Are you going to/Do you already have an art thread? I would be really interested to see what else you can do!

The design is rather basic, yet very cool and remarkable. Also I like the idea that it drains the heat from its surrounding to use it for himself.

I concur. It's simplicity is it's strength I think. Really wonderful illustration, nice one. :)
