'Tis I, the Giant Squid. I've recently found out about Starbound and am already excited to get on board. (Ha... Get it? 'On'... 'board'.... Nevermind.) I've noticed it makes a difference in the eyes of the community whether or not one has played Terraria extensively, and yes, I am one of those squid. I enjoy the game immensly however the none-existent end-game makes me cry little squiddy tears. Starbound however looks like a great addition to the genre, and I can already see how it stands out as it's own title, rather than "Terraria 2: The Revenge", or whatever it would have been called. As for who I am, I'm but a simple squid. My hobbies include hunting for crustaceans and other, smaller squid, fighting sperm whales to the death, and visiting japan, for reasons you all should understand. I'm a squid, after all... Anywho, I look forward to my constant lurking on these boards and sharing them with you all, now and forever. I'm not a docile or shy creature so feel free to embrace me in conversation. Do keep an eye on my tentacles, they have minds of their own...
Well technically anything after the wall of flesh IS the end game stuff; I literally can't beat them! But welcome nonetheless! I shall hug you with open arms if it wasn't for the fact that I live in Equestria.
I suppose that's true. However in my mind the "end-game" is what's after you've beaten all the bosses/dungeons/levels/etc. in a game. After beating the Wall of Flesh, the next set of bosses, built my amazing castle, and collected all the spells, There was nothing for me to really do other than start completely over, which wasn't a whole lot of fun. I do play every once in a while to continue building, however. But back to matters at hand, I thank you for the welcome, and rest easy knowing that I too would hug you with open... tentacles, were not for the fact that I am a Giant Squid.
Have you tried building a mechanism that continuously slaughters bunnies? That might be interesting if you can make it autonomous.
A few problems with that. 1.) Why would I slaughter the poor innocent bunnies? If the game had Sperm Whales (my mortal enemy), then perhaps I would consider. 2.) With my experiences, I've yet to see bunnies spawn rapidly enough to make this entertaining/worth it. Oh the irony... 3.) Any list of mine has to have at least 3 bullets. Forgive my OCD nature.
Aye, welcome to Starbound ye octopus. If ye want to get onboard something, then that be my pirate ship. Sperm Whales? If ye mean enemy ships then yes, there will be lots.
Here's my rebuttal: 1). Slaughtering innocent animals is its own reward. It's a good and moral thing to do if you are interested in pharmacology. 2). With my experiences, bunnies spawn only on the surface world, and not in lava. You should remedy that situation. 3). All my lists have only two bullet points. Wait.... darn it!
Welcome sir Squid, a man... er, squid of many talents I see, one of which is writing, I do not express that as much myself, but I like to write my thoughts out which can be quite extensive.
I enjoy writing quite a bit, however I wouldn't consider it a talent of mine. My primary talents are fighting whales and stalking Japanese school girls. I'm thinking about writing some Starbound fanfic, but if I start something I have to finish it, and I'm not sure if I have time to obsess about it. >.> We will see soon enough.
