Disclaimer this is a first big time suggestion take it easy. Gravity plating and you.How it would work: Gravity plating by theory is artificial gravity meant to keep you on a surface that would normally have no gravity. By placing the block down in a planet with absolutely no gravity you can choose to set the amount of pressure gravity provides. Either by making it lower or higher you can change it so the surface you are standing on has a different gravity value then it would. Lets use the moon as a example. The moon is 1/6th of Earths gravity. Lets say you have a fortification setup on the moon without no gravity plating. You are trying to get around in your fort while it becomes a tedious job with the lower gravity and trying to get up to the right floor without staircases. You would need gravity plating. How it assists you: You are on a planet with really low gravity and you want to survive on it. You would need to have some sort of thing to hold you down while working on your base. Gravity plating is here to help! All you need to do is place it down and hook it up to a console or a switch, and then the blocks with the gravity plating above them would be placed above the blocks about 1/3rd of a regular blocks height. Thus allowing you to walk on gravity plating either on the default setting or the setting set on the console interface. Mockup of a gravity plate. A gravity plate with gravity particles shooting out. Gravity Regulators and you.How it would work:Gravity Regulators are like gravity plating but instead create a orb of artificial gravity instead of just the floor and the few blocks above it this would create a big orb of 20 blocks by 20 blocks around. How it would assist you: Gravity regulators would assist you more then the gravity plate but are more resource demanding. These could allow you to easily regulate the gravity around your base in a more orderly fashion instead of terrain raping your ground. Mockup of a gravity regulator A gravity Regulator with gravity particle rays. StatsGravity Regulator: 20x20 Gravity Radius: Gravity Variables may change with players choice: Enough force applied could be deadly. Gravity Plate: 1 block and with a 3 block high gravity radius. Variables may change with players choice: Enough force applied could be deadly. TLDR: A plate that allows you to walk without floating upwards in low gravity situations.

Sounds interesting. Probably need to see it in action to get a full understanding and opinion. But I'll give it an upvote. May I ask what the relevance of this link is?
These would be extremely useful when trying to build, especially to people that want to set up their base on moons or something similar(This guy). Plus they have maximum trolling capability. +1 It's Princess Cadence from MLP with a Doge face photoshopped on it. I'm guessing they posted that link because they thought that that the user Princess Cadence would want to see a possibly humorous image of the actual Princess Cadence. princess cadenception
Beyond the fact that this was suggested about a dozen times I just don't like the idea. I think personal gravity reversal unit would be a much less greifable idea.
Do you have the links to those exact threads because I searched it up on the forums and didn't find anything like this.
I don't think he means your exact variation, but the idea of gravity, gravity tech and gravity based items is very wide spread.
Indeed but you can't deny the fact that this idea is really good and should be fun in the future process O_O
I suppose so. If its very wide spread each has a different idea about the topic. As I am talking about two items that would be very useful. It just looked like to me that he was talking exactly about this.
