Okay, so the next update is going to be having several changes.

For one, all of the GF wearables will be transferred to an entirely new crafting station object(which can be created at a basic crafting table with some pixels).

Two, the mod is actually getting a name change to "Gravity Falls Wearables" since I'm expanding beyond hats at this point.

Three, the internal mod name is getting a change again because of the aforementioned name change.

could you add like the Journals? i know you can't wear them, but maybe as a decoration item? or the portal as a prop! anyway still a great mod! thanks for updating it

 

I've actually considered making the crafting station look like one of the journals, but I couldn't get them to look right. I might try again as decorative objects sometime now that you mention it though... that could be neat! Thank you!

A funny thing happened after using this mod. It seems Mabel did some bad things and ended up in prison. When I was looting a jail dungeon she ran at me with a shiv. Seems shes not the nice girl people might think she is.

 

Hah! It's probably because of the hairstyle added in. NPCs can use any hairstyle that players can choose at character creation... that's funny though!

 

Are the clothes dyeable?

At the moment, they are not. Since they're made to resemble the clothes of specific characters in the show, I wasn't sure how to put different colors on them without taking away the feeling of authenticity, so to speak. They're kind of iconic the way they are. That's what I was thinking.

It hadn't occurred to me that people would want to dye them before, so I didn't have any plans to make them dye-able. Not to mention when I started this mod, the base game had no way of dyeing clothes(there was a mod for it once upon a time but it's been outdated for a long time), so it wasn't really an issue back then.

For the time being, I'd say just be careful not to dye the clothes - it will likely consume the dye without any change in appearance(some clothes in the main game are still like that too! It's frustrating, to say the least).

Oh, wait, - there IS one item that should be dye-able... that would be Mabel's hair, or more precisely its headband. Other than that, nothing else could currently support dyes.
