Sorry if this was mentioned earlier at some point. Okay some reason i found some water that stayed within the background wall, but had no foreground wall touching the side, which should mean that it would fall, but it didn't.

Then once i dug a single background block (boxed in red with a red arrow pointing to it), the water fell/disappeared until it came to a point where it had both background blocks behind it and foreground blocks surrounding the water.

And this was found as is, the only thing i did was dig that single background block as seen in the second picture. The coordinates for this place is x: -95150511, y:-86793899. You have to go some distance to the right of the spawn point.

Oh nooooooooooooo D:!! From now on, i'll be sure to leave the Aquarisons alone from now on! And i'll leave a memorial in their honor, and fill the hole with water once buckets are implemented.

Ahh okay, so i guess the devs already know about it then?

It's possible that places that you find gravity defying water are the "ends" of the world. You know how you walk around in a circle? The blocks on the ends of the map render into each other and water in the way will spawn half way.
    Just a theory though.

Hmm, that's a good theory. But then shouldn't it be split halfway everywhere the water is, not only partially? Not saying the theory's wrong though, because that does make sense, just trying to think if anything else could cause it.
