Grappling hooks dont feel good to usee

I refer you to my previous post.

 

Last time I tried to go to an asteroid field it wouldn't let me. Where are you guys even using these hooks?

 

The occasional tall cave and to skip some dungeons' platforming courses. Challenge gates, too.

 

Thanks, I'll look into the Starbound Crew. Might be a bit much for what I want though.

Indeed, it is out of date. But the grappling hook is there, you may be able to separate it from the rest of the mod.

 

After playing around with Stable SB's hook, I'd have to say the ONLY thing I think it needs improvement on, is the extension speed (trying to lower yourself). You tap down once and you go FLYING down so fast you take fall damage.

It should SLOWLY lower you down like the Climbing Ropes do.

If we only did JUST that, I would be content. The earlier videos in this thread are a little too over the top ridiculous and I can see why it was nerfed.

 

I hate that pressing either direction sends you flying that way. I wish you could hold the rope at a certain length.
