Got myself a Doctor

Just thought it would be cool to share this screenshot of a stim vendor on my ship. Totally surprised myself when I did it. Awesome beta, having loads of fun.

 

Oh wow, how did you get the person on your ship?

 

I found a stim-vendor stand off an enemy. Placed it on my ship and when I came back the doctor was in. Pretty neat, but not sure if that's how it is supposed to work.

 

QQ trying to get the doctor he just wont come (must mean he doesn't like me)

 

The doctor usually only comes for his companion, oh snap. But on a serious note I set the stand down and it was a normal stand, I left the ship and when I beamed back up blame dude staring right into the windows of my soul.

 

So the stim-vendor is the desk with the two color vials on it? Or is it that giant green glass tube in your ship.

 

The Doctor is on your ship?! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.

 

So I guess my early question on reddit about moving NPCs is valid. The NPC spawns near the vendor/location piece that they trigger from. Makes me wonder what spawns guards...that would be hilarious. Avian Temple Guard in my ship working for ME!

 

should of been a blue box rather than a pink bird

 

It was a stand , a black and blue sign post which disappeared and the doctor took its place when I was down on the planet.

 

Didn't find the doc yet but got 2 others, the Tool vendor (sells rope, bombs and flares) and the Chef

I found a Chef and Doctor spawn items in an Apex Chest.

The description of those items say: "Spawn your very own Chef/Doctor!"

You place them and they spawn for your personal use.

It's really neat and was a surprise.

 

I found a clothing vendor, don't know how to get him to a ship/town since all that was around him was two lanterns and a wagon.

 

There is, in fact, a Guard Spawner. I can build both Guard Spawners and Avian Spawners as of Tier 2.

 

I got a cook spawner, managed to get a lot of carrot cake made, was having a lot of trouble with food before that.

Also be careful about swinging about your weapons, you will hit and kill the doctor npc apparently, that was how I lost my cook.

 

A Fair warning about Guards/npc .i had one guard protecting my home.and when a monster attacked i tried to help him. To bad he jumped into my swing and was instantly killed .Great way to waste 2500 Pixel -.-

i think the own guards should be treated like other players with no friendly fire.
