Good way to get platinum?

Yes, does anybody know where I can find platinum in the game? I've been told that it can't really be found in the Alpha Sector, but could somebody verify this for me? Thank you in advance!

 

I've found it while mining in the alpha sector, though very rarely.
It can also be found in village chests.

 

The vast majority of platinum that I have found, in previous versions, was in chests or the Gamma Sector.
I say previous versions because I have not played far into the current version, and since there is another update soon, I am going to wait for that before I start progressing again.

That's where I found most of the gold/plat/silver

or move onwards to more difficult sectors, that works too

 

It spawns from beta Sector forward, but in small chunks of course. Higher level planets will have more platinum.
On level 2 planets I can find around 2-3 ores at once, on level 10 they are as common as copper. I can;t recall if I found any on level 1 planets.

 

You're more likely to find it in Delta/Gamma sector planets, but it does have a chance to spawn on Alpha sector planets. According to the Ore Distribution table, you'll have to dig down.

 

It can spawn 100% in Beta. I had around 30-40 platinum before I went in the Gamma Sector.

 

I find 5 Platinium ore in a Dungeon chest on my first planet... Did you search in the dungeon?

 

May I ask what the coordinates to that planet were? If you already left the planet, then don't worry about it. I'll find a dungeon eventually.

 

Maybe I've been lucky, but I've found plenty on Alpha planets since indignant koala. Enough to make a pick just before going to Beta sector. It's pretty deep down, though.
