Good names for non-humans

In terraria you really couldn't role play at all, and so i hope that Starbound tries to encourage it.

I agree with this strongly. Besides, without roleplaying, almost all of the player home worlds will be lush green always-day paradises, with the occasional death-world for PvP players.

 

How about, uh, ye olde lizarde pirates...e?

 

It's probably best to wait until we find out what the general naming scheme that the Starbound team comes up with for each race is before we bother trying to guess any appropriate-sounding names for the non-human races.

I think the devs should include a random name generator for each race so we can click through random, race appropriate names until we find one we like. I like playing characters with appropriate names. would be a welcome addition to the character creation process.

 

But then they'd have to go through all the trouble we've already gone through to find those appropriate names!

 

I really hope the Novakids have a cowboy theme now.

For Apex I could imagine scientific/lab names

- Dexter
- Smith
- Steve
- Albert

But if they are too human, perhaps Apex names could be something like

- Banana Kong
- King Banana
- Dr. Banana
- Banana Wife
- Banana banana

If I were an apex I'd want the name Walter. Or Walbananater.

 

Perhaps my name but with the traditional spelling "Giles". Sounds like a butler apes name.
