Good names for non-humans

Lately i've been having this odd feeling it won't be so "natural" to find a hylotl NPC named John Smith
We all know a bunch of common human, or even dwarf and elf names, but what would be good names for the other starbound races?

 

K'rellant Ma'rlan.
That would be a good name for some weird alien boss thing.

 

Ill probably end up using other NPCs name's as reference if i decide to make a character of that respective race

 

As Florans are tribal you can expect they will have a guttural tongue (It'd just be strange otherwise) so you could expect names such as:

Grishra
Zarja
Viktro
Nishk
etc..

For Hylotl, seeing as they're based on a somewhat feudal Japanese culture, expect pseudo-Japanese names.

Shirono
Takashi
Rurena
Kaketo
etc...

Glitch I'm guessing will have traditional English names

Geoffrey
Collette
Charlotte
Timothy
etc...

Apex, probably somewhat futuristic

Verithor
Salaron
Milinia
Alforen
etc...

Novakids, probably childish crap such as

Starshooter
Duster
Brighteyes
Billy
etc...

I'm guessing Avians will have psuedo-Aztec names, such as

Ulazuma
Toratec
Quetzaco
Peclocotl
etc...

 

Bob is generally accepted as a good name for anything.

 

Technically they share similar features with argonians (from the elder scrolls series)
so you could use some of those names to generate them

 

Actually, they wouldn't share the features at all. The argonians are tribal africa themed, but Hyotyl is asian themed.

If your nickname is unique enough, it doesn't matter for what race you use it ^.^

I'd say use whatever name you want, because if you think of it likely you'll keep it, but if we think of it, you night like it for a bit then scrap it. Who knows, maybe all our characters will have to be named under one account system, so you could possibly just be Lobo whether Hylotl or Novakid!

Something tells me Apex will be the one with slavic/Eastern European names, I mean, just look at their architecture, freaking Space Warsaw Pact Soviet Thing-a-magic monkey nation!

Oh and robots... my guess would be they'll have these mechanic names and some titles maybe, like Sir Coppercog or Lady Ciruitfix.

Oh and also agree with Sousuke Kuroda regarding hylotl, novakids and avians.

 

Captain-Koi comes to mind for a Hyotl. Don't know why, Koi are just carp. The name just sticks.
