I really like this idea, it being a quite unique concept. Although it appears to be more of a blob than a slug, but I guess it can shape-shift after all.
Love this concept! Name suggestions: - Morphiapeds - Alterians - Globblobians - Transforgers - Gooslime-ians I can see some very interesting possibilities with these guys. If they don’t make it as a full fledged race, maybe a pet, there morphing abilities remind me of that old game “A boy and his Blob", feeding him different things would allow him to Transform into all sorts of objects and tools. Something similar to this would add a fun layer to these guys/

Glad to see a great concept continue to develop! The Globblobians remind me of Transformers (with the technology part ), but more original and overall awesome! EDIT: @Amarth, it would be interesting to adapt certain Globblobians to more of a domestic critter, perhaps to help you get around certain obstacles.

I just had an idea! How about this: the oil slugs (Globblobians) get their technology from the ruins of ruined (previously extremely advanced) civilizations; and in conjunction based all of their new technology off of what they found there. It may or may not work for these characters... Just an idea...

I like this race. you should put a description of their pros and cons like weakness to fire based weapons and lava WARNING: Do not, I repeat, do not light fires near the oil slugs, as they combust into a burning infernal and they dont like being burned alive
I'll add their military capabilities and defense. well as their vulnerability. They are capable of more than a normal mob. I would not call the race before.
