What is trully the bad thing at a incent poking just for the gigles?Why would so many get trully irritaded over not even a malicious joke,but such a small one?

I am not saying all horse Haters suck,Im not saying and never said anything even close.

I am saying,the reaction and the amount of hate the Horse recieves is a tad exaagerated,and im already using Tad as a exageration,its ridiculous,especialy when the solution seems to be,a yeye examinationa nd a teeth job.

It wasn't a 41 page argument before the dev-flamebait was posted. Prior to that, it was a group of people politely asking that the Horse AI be changed into something less silly looking. That's it. It was only when semi-official sanction to troll people that don't like it was given by the devs by doing likewise that people got up at arms about it.

Yes, it's silly that this whole thing happened like this, but that is what happens when, instead of listening to criticism of ones work, you band together and make fun of those who have a problem with a minor issue. The anger that many people have been expressing in this thread, and others, has very little to do with the actual content, of which only a statistically significant majority of those voting have a problem with. The poll and the anger are two different things, entirely.

It's a simple thing, to change this AI, to something less off-puting. MariaTheElf has proven that, by listening to peoples' complaints about it and crafting no less than 5 alternates that keep the Horse as-is and change only the offensive or strange features, and each one of them has taken a fraction of the time that it would have taken for the devs to post the updates that have had people up at arms.

 

It doesn't matter if there is a basis of reality with those teeth, they don't like it and that's all that matters.

 

Now show a smiling horse, and a talking horse. Because that's what the AI is doing, smiling and talking.

 

The problem is they know they are poking fun after the recent "drama" related events that have happened. There are three other places discussion goes on you know. If the recent update had been at least somewhat serious concerning the "problem" none of this would be happening.

Let's lighten up on the images and "attitudes" and keep the good feedback going.

 

You seem to be remarkably certain it wasn't malicious despite evidence to the contrary. These things are far from "innocent".

Besides, the 41 page thread did, eventually, manage to not only sort out what exactly was wrong with the original art assets, but also provide replacements for them.


It also managed to bring evidence that Chucklefish are at least as puerile and easily provoked as their primary playerbase.
Hopefully they'll learn from this mess and improve as a company. *cough*DayOneGarry'sIncident*cough*


But, again, the discussion is veering steadily off the topic of any sort of feedback about the Glitch AI art assets, which is the point of this thread.

It is fully within the consumers' right to state that "Yes, these particular art assets are utter crap, they need to be replaced.". Especially when it's a work in progres founded on pre-release sales.

I was mocking the situation,not you.I was mocking how the generality of you guys just coudnt say,Ill acept the horse if it gets a teeth job and quits getting Ded Eye and how so many of the Horse Defenders have defended the horse,made real conversations when just that lil thing was enough for so many of you,aparently.
