Just because they are folowing their own choices instead of the Fans(wich isnt 100% fully suporting the removal,mind you),are they incompetent and deserve to be boycoted and Invalidated?

No,they are stickig up for something they themselves can defend with justification,and they are.

Fans shoudnt dictate what studios make,they can make sugestions and coment on the changes made,but the final decision is to the Devs and them alone,and that is no reason to invalidate them,request a refund,boycot them,neither does that make them bad people.

Going extreme isnt good on any situation.

They're not mocking the people who don't like it and have been polite. The people being polite are the people who wouldn't raise a big ruckus and call the devs terrible people and boycott the game if the devs decided to make light of the situation.

The best idea I've seen out of this thread is the ability of choice, let there be multiple AIs for each race so people can pick which one they want. Of course though, there are those who think it shouldn't exist at all and, quite frankly, they shouldn't be taken seriously at all. If they can't even handle it existing, that's their own problem, not ours.

You should probably begin by assuming that the devs aren't inherently malicious, and that they actually like their community. Then you can bridge off somewhere, like, say, "Am I one of the people who are actively trying to harm this game by calling for the boycott of their goods", and if you answered yes, well congrats you're a dick and also probably who they're making fun of. If you're not, congrats, you've got an opinion but you're not trying to shove it in peoples faces nearly as hard as the other guys are, so it's probably not directed at you.

 

There isn't one hence why this is even a situation in the first place.

No, because they're deriding a subsection of not just fans, but paying customers, some of whom have given them money sight unseen for a product they're now mocking them with?
I wasn't saying they're incompetent (though considering that they wanted to leave the monster sound assets as they were, there's a considerable number of netcode and stability issues and a whole slew of other miscellaneous flaws one can legitimately make that point), I was saying that their PR is utterly terrible, to the point of actively provoking hostility.
This is basically the same as Chris Metzen going to the WoW forums and making a post consisting solely of "Choppergate.".

Even as jest, it's something you just don't do unless you LIKE having a PR nightmare.

Not to mention how that kind of open display of mocking, and with a commonly known meme (horse heads), really brings out the ugly side of the forums. I've seen more flames and troll bait on this forum in the last few days that I've seen in the entire rest of my stay here, combined. Not to mention, half of them are straight-up horse-head memes. By flame-baiting the front page, no matter what kind of intent they had to begin with, they invited a really nasty element on this forum.

Now, maybe they have some good reason to use the horse-lady AI picture, but the following mocking of those who don't like it, three times in one day, only adds to the problem instead of solving it.

And yes, just saying "there is a reason for this" and leaving it at that would leave us with a sense of wonder and anticipation, not anger and a good third of people who cared to vote in this thread extremely upset at what had transpired.
