Community Glitch Ship AI Feedback

Refer to my avatar for what you guys should be doing currently.

 

There was a LOT of stuff to see, very clearly, that the game wasn't super serious space sim, and was in fact a silly goofy terraria-like but zany space adventures before Chucklefish even took a hot penny of anyone's money. Just because you really wanted it to have a tone and setting that it didn't advertise doesn't mean anyone should change anything about the game except you, with modding tools, if it really bothers you this much.

 

Yeah sure and silent ourself and ignore that issue, hell they are even trolling people (or atleast people got the impression which is... understandable to say the least) with that expression with the tongue, sure thats good thing to ignore that. While other people, not naming them, will be allowed to continue to fuse people not liking the AI making them more pissed by obvious posts which are nothing but rage inducing. Which didnt get removed either. Can provide examples for said posts being rage inducing if wished so.


For those who are interested in removing the horse check spoiler, I added this spoiler personally before some assumptions are started.

Again guys heres a link to a mod which allows you to get rid of that thing... not sure if it works after the next night update is out.

I just wanted to state really quick -- that this thread/discussion is over the topic of whether or not the Horse should be the Glitch Ship AI in the base game. It has nothing to do with mods or modding -- since I've seen that come up a few times now.

 

I realy dont know, why everybody say that "horse is transport and that how it's related to ships"
Why dont you use nice robo-skipper in uniform as you assistant (this is a ship, by the way). Or a mermaid (like figurhead of your spaceship)
And when i see other race's AI, i feel sadness for all mighty roboknights in shining powerarmor.
My answer is "Hell no". And i am not gonna change it

 

Compromiss solution...

Keep the horse... maybe even keep its clevage... But shrink the clevage in size, remove its goofy expressions and its troll tongue expression.
Maybe turning it into a mecha horse like the glitch use anyways would be good.

So then for those who like the boobed horse can keep it, but people who want something more serious got that aswell... I suppose.

Well, modding is a part of the game. A huge part, by how much CF have done to support it and encourage it through their site and making it simpler to do while expanding options. I don't think you can have a serious, balanced discussion about a feature if you try and enforce a taboo on modding just because. It's a very valid and reasonable counter response to those that want a feature removed solely because they don't like it.

Fine, we can stop suggesting modding, but others have to give up their unsubtle jabs and digs that the Devs are running some childish troll game, or that they are being disingenuous with their claims that it isn't about a meme. This isn't productive in the least to the conversation as a whole at best, and at worst it's people trying to treat an imagined slight as fact in a discussion. Making things up isn't a valid debate or discussion tactic.

 

not every knight has a horse you might be thinking of lance-men or Calvary but all thats fine and good however why not make the ship be a horse or have no breasts and stupid expression on the a.i.

 

[opinion] I have no specie preference, and if I had to play Glitch one day I think it will disturb me to regularly see a silly-looking A.I. As said earlier by some peoples, I think recurrent parts of the game must be, not necessarily serious-toned, but “regular-toned” (for instance, the silly descriptions of some objects, or the penguin-in-a-saucer boss are fun without being invasive IMO). I don't think I'd mind it as much if the neck didn't look so off. The majority of Anthro-equines I've seen tend to have more human like necks.

 

i made this......can anyone truly say that THIS is not a good compromise! im not a sprite artist so its not amazing but seriously consider this dont think of it as a joke with this you get the horse and we get a dignified A.I. it solves EVERYTHING i just want the fighting to stop with something we can all be happy with.

I absolutely love it.

The kids need to calm their titties. It's just an (admittedly bad) joke that's goofy and amusing. If it was a joke you liked you'd be defending it to your death bed to make sure it stayed in the game, but just because it doesn't fit your own personal taste you want it removed and ruined for others. Where do we draw the line? What's next? "I don't like that Florans are androgynous" "I don't like the slight sexual innuendo in some races conversation" it's just ridiculous.

Not really a compromise, the nightmare inducing rack and toothy goof grin give it personality, depth. That's bland, boring. Just a horse.
