I was reading the thread " Avian's must taste like chicken " which brought up a lot talk about what race would eat the other and etc. ( can't eat the glitch) :p This got me thinking what food will the glitch be "eating" ?

Glitch will eat normal food. They were programmer to be like humans, so they have needs, like humans.

Probably normal food. They'd convert the nutrients into energy (like living organisms), albeit mechanically.

Data, Bytes, Hardware, Electronic devices, various forms of metal aside from themselves. (That'd be robotalism)

Only thing I can think of that they would drink is Oil.

I also wondered about if the Glitch work any different if the food meter is enabled.

They eat food like a normal organic being, as part of their programming and the simulation. It is probably converted into biofuel to use for keeping them powered, so if they stop eating they'll eventually run out of power and 'die'. Since power wasn't really a thing back in Medieval times they probably are programmed to work like a human, rather then plugging into something.

True they are a more advanced robot than the average machine we normally would see in other games . :)

Perhaps there could be something completely different, like say Humans could only eat cooked food, Apex could only eat raw food, Hylotl's eating fish, Glitch eating mechanical parts, Novakids eating energy type things, Avians eating insects, and Floran being like apex eating raw meat?
    Just an idea people.

That would be an inventory clutter galore.

id like it if Glitch are more likely to "eat" things like batteries
and by eat, i mean, they drain the charge from them and then toss the cans depleted cells

somehow i doubt race specific food will be implemented though

They obviously have an internal motor that transform the nutrients of food into fuel for that motor... Or some crap like that.

 Well since there is race specific armor maybe there will be also race specific meals but can be made by other races after you find recipes ?

As an envoy to the Parfelian Nation, I must highly recommend you not feed the robots kittens. Believe me, that's one capital you don't want to piss off.

No kittens will be used as food by my glitch or any of my characters

In the Avian lore .PDF it was mentioned that the Glitch's method of converting biological material into energy caused breakthroughs in Avian technology.
Of course, it's very likely that hunger and starvation is hardwired into their systems. Haven't eaten any organic food in X days, execute starvation.exe
