Being a person that is cursed and having to wear his glasses all the time I don't want to see them as a vanity item, I'd much rather have them always on me like some sort of facial feature so they would always be visible. For example if I were to wear some sort of helmet with out a face mask I would like to still have my glasses on. I would just like to know what others think if this.
i think having them as an option within character creation, such as an accessory slot or something like a watch, or a tattoo or some other thing would be fine but really, glass' are fine by me if they are just a vanity item you can craft/find and wear like terraria's goggles/sunglasses that you can wear in your vanity slot
Character Creation would be a nice option, but they wouldn't be glasses. No, glasses are too old fashioned. These would be state-of-the-art, high tech optical devices. Goggles, anyone?
I don't really see a reason for them to not be an option. Maybe to go along more with the sci-fi theme, each pair could have different effects, i.e. night vision, having further vision underground, increased accuracy, or maybe even retexturing enemies. I for one would love to have my enemies look like little rabbits
if you could put them on in the creator, or like how the sims did it, in front of a mirror at will. It would be nice. But I'll be the first to say, I want the ability to choose the color of my lenses. Not just plain old white.
I'm not sure if everyone is getting the right idea from my question here. I'm not arguing glasses or goggles, i'm just saying I want the glasses to always be on my face, not as a vanity but to still have them visible even with a helmet or such on me. P.S. Frozen I think that lens color is a great idea!
How 'bout a compromise? There would be an extra slot of vanity/armor items just for "eyeware". The headgear would then just layer over it.
Beat me to it, by mere *cough* hours. But yeah, having an eyewear slot in conjunction with a mask / facewear slot would open up several more customization possibilities. Probably shouldn't take it much further than that to avoid having a bajillionzillion (scientific, amirite) vanity / equip slots.
