Anyone else been hit with a singe GIANT meteor that completely demolishes your base and actually leaves behind meteorite rock scattered all over the place? I spent hours and hours looking for the perfect, protected spot for my base and I found, in an asteroid belt, a pretty big asteroid with an almost equally big one right above it. I thought this would be perfect for a base, since it had a 10 layer thick meteorite block cover... but as I'm building today, a sudden explosion that covers pretty much the entire screen goes off. The 10 layer thick asteroid above my base is gone, the top half of my base is gone and there's a layer of meteorite all over the everything I've built. I'm not gonna lie, it was a pretty awesome wtf moment, but so discouraging. Here's a pic of the layer of asteroid that was blasted thru by the single explosion.
This guy this. http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/critical-game-breaking-issue.59698/ And apparently it's game-breaking. Though, I have to ask... you built your base in a god damn asteroid belt. What exactly did you expect? This?
Ahh ok, well at least I'm not the only one.. but yeesh! That's something seriously tedious to deal with.
So I got hit by one of those giant meteors, not only 1 time. but 4 ****ing times >_> I mean, I moved from planets to planets building "home's" and on every single one of them, I've been hit. Am I cursed or somthing?
As posted in another thread... As soon as I landed one crashed. I barely dodged it. And 10 blocks thick is nothing. In that picture it's only a little bit of the whole crater. It goes down really deep.
I would complain that we already have a handful of threads about the meteors... but then again it's a really annoying feature that has to be fixed. Keep 'em coming. The threads, not the meteors.
