Genocide?

Anyone totally circumnavigate a planet, killing everything in like a city? I'm really tempted to, but for some reason I can't bring myself to do it. Anyone ever wipe out an entire city for no real reason?

 

Roleplaying an antihero peacebringer to save the Apex from the control of the great Miniknog overlord would be a fun reason.

But no, I have not murdered an entire city yet.

 

Mass murder is how I get my jollies.

 

All the time, they have a habit of outliving their usefulness; so I kill them all.

 

How could you even think about doing something like that? You got some problems pal :S


No just kidding I do it to every village I come across.

 

People play this game and don't do that?

So far I've only found 2 Glitch castles and every time I walked across the bridge the guard attacked me, so I just cleaned the whole thing out.

 

If anyone from a village/city/castle/lab would attack me on-the-spot, then I guess it's fine to murder everyone.

A few bombs may or may not have fallen out in convenient places near several friendly npc homes.

 

I only kill the extremely racist ones. That's usually everyone when I'm a floran and nobody when I'm a Hyotol.

 

Avian villagers are too friendly to humans for me to kill them.

 

I had the same thing with Glitches towards my Apex. They always say I'm welcome anytime and that I'm safe in their towns. I need their furniture though so I slaughter them.

 

I don't touch willagers, and don't eat glitch food.

 

I play a Hylotl and the floran are all hateful.... so I butcher their towns.

 

The way I see it, there are four ways to gain the many, many pixels needed in this game:
1) Circumnavigate the world several times, killing every monster (hostile or otherwise) I come across
2) Spelunking for monsters, exposing myself to the many ways of dying down there
3) Spelunking for ores to put in the refinery. Same disadvantage as option 2.
4) Find a city or two and slaughter every man, woman, and non-existent child. *evil laughter*
Options 1-3 usually net me about 1000 pixels for 3-4 hours of work.
Option 4 gets me the same amount for 0.5 hours of work.
Gosh, I wish I could empathize with those NPCs. I really do. But that Inactive Robot isn't going to build itself.
(Aside: this is on threat level 1-2 worlds. Option 1 becomes much more viable on higher levels.)

 

I also would kill Glitch, Florans, or Avians. Glitch are friendly and interesting, Florans can't help they're dumb, and Avians are just zealots who mean well. Apex are prisoners so nothing there I can hurt. Never seen a human town. I guess unless novakids are total jerkbags there's no genocide for me.

 

Every time I find a city I annihilate everyone. I like dem pixels
