So my idea is when you generate the world, although it will be "random" certain variables will be purposefully generated.

Things like the age of your planet, the location of your planet, and the spin of the planet will affect what happens in game. The age of the planet will affect volcanic activity, the location (such as in an asteroid belt) will affect the amount of meteors, and the spin will affect how long a day is.

I would just like to see more things like this (any other ideas would be great), so not only do you get more variance between worlds, you feel like the planet you are on is more real, not just another randomly generated planet. It will be like it has its own little story, all because you can compare the state of the planet to different variables.

Although I wouldn't know exactly how you would know these things, I would assume you could build some sort of research vessel that would gather the information and tell you.

They said that planets will all have coordinates, which act as the seed, so it won't exactly be random, but they might have certain statistics about the planet derived from the seed such as the ones you mentioned. I do think that each planet will have a different spin, orbit, chance for each event to happen, maybe atmosphere, moons, and we are sure of different monster difficulties and size/gravity. things like volcanic activity would be part of the terrain generation or an event.
