Gate Outpost Faces

So.. noticed that there is a missing face on the edges of the Outpost Gates, seems to have all the races and a empty hole next to the new race. Perhaps another planned race or for Hylotl, or just leaving it empty just in case of any future plans, what do you think?

 

Many people have already pointed this out but,i think its not a new race,but the old ones the ones who created the glitch and showed the avians the crystals and such.Thats who i think the missing race is.

 

I think it's really the penguins' spot, but their face was too small and it fell off. Nobody cared enough to fix it, so it never got repaired. In any system.

 

Didn't the Glitch lore mention that they were created long ago by a now extinct race? I guess their face was on the Outpost Gate up until they went extinct, so they took it off.

 

Maybe the face isn't missing. Maybe the lost race had faces that looked like big holes.

 

There was a Horse face there at some point, but then they devolved into S.A.I.L. and were to embarrassed to show their faces in the outpost any more.

 

You know what Chucklefish needs to do?

Hire a bonafide loremaster.

Do they even really have a writer?

 

I'm going to say that it's a race that doesn't want to be seen, and removed themselves from the gates.

This is actually surprising.

I hate to be a dick, but you'd never know they have a dedicated writer looking at the content and lore in-game. Starbound's lore has a lot of good ideas, but, even considering "it's beta!!!!!", everything feels kind of stilted.

 

You'd hate to be one, yet I notice that that didn't seem to stop you from being one.

Anyway, i personnaly think the missing face is an agaran's.

 

An argument is a discussion involving two-or-more opposing opinions. Wyvern offered an opinion, I offered a different opinion, Wyvern expressed regret and offered to fight, and I pencil him for four.

At no time did we argue or, indeed, offer any opposing opinions at all.

 

You know how in the current Unstable you can make a Novakid without a brand?

The bottom two are both Novakid. One branded, one unbranded.

 

Only problem with that theory is I think without the brand they die.

 

Well, crap! Somebody better tell these Novakid's that they're dead!
