I had the thought that you should be able to go inside of them if you have a certain upgrade for your ship. This item/upgrade could be tech maybe? I was also thinking that inside of these gas planets there could be mini space stations that you could board and grab some loot . (That could be what decides the threat level) If you wanted to add anything to my idea just comment
