A simple suggestion, Gas Giants can now be landed on; however, instead of landing on the surface players will beam to a floating platform of either two kinds. Firstly, Gas Mining, structures with the intent of harvasting gases from the surrounding atmosphere, like Xenon and such, and would have their own unique furniture designed to look similar to a power plant or real world natural gas equipment. These could be considered the dungeons of Gas Giants and are similar in nature to Lunar Mines; filled with strange creatures, most likely swarms of hive-like flying creatures similar to wasps that over-ran the Gas Mine. Loot would mostly be something along the lines of Hydrogeon Cells, which can be used to fuel the ship. Second, Floating Colonies. Think Bespin, large floating cities respective to each type but only the more advanced Humans and Apex. They would probably be generally friendly towards the player, like other settlements.
Okay feedback for the first idea: YES, that would be awesome. You should also require a gas-mask to go there. And since you can move liquids now you could also do that with gas, so vent systems have a proper purpose apart from decoration. .. Feedback for the second idea: Yes, yes and yes please.
