I can't figure out why it doesn't work and I can't seem to replicate it. But here is an improved version, see if it fixes the bug.
hmm, does smapi throw any error? it also doesnt work with hoe right? if so can you hear the hoe sound when you get on the tractor and move around?
SMAPI is not throwing any sort of an error. It doesn't work with the hoe either; like with the watering can, it fires off when I first get on the tractor, but not after.
Anyway install this version and tell me the SMAPI output while you move around on tractor with a hoe or watering can.
Here's my log. The hoe was selected; also, I only heard the hoe sound when I first got on the tractor, but after that, nothing.
So according to the log, it seems the mod cant get tiles around your character while you on tractor. Hm
yeah, I'm trying to figure out why. Is it because this mod conflicts with other mods or does my algorithm not run? Anyway, here try this one and send me the smapi log again. Also can you try the mod on a new save (change minTool to 0 so it works with basic tool). If it does work with your new save then send me the save that doesn't work. Maybe I can figure something out.
Got a flood of red on a new save when I tried to use anything but the scythe as the selected tool with my usual mod setup. It does the same with only the Tractor Mod loaded. I'll PM you my save file once I get it bundled up.

Still not working. =/ This only occurs when on the tractor; when doing it on foot, everything functions as intended.
I try your save on my end and its fine so there's nothing wrong with the save. And according to your log just now it seems like there some thing that overrides your movementDirections stack (basically how the game detect if you move left right up down, look like my code detects that you indeed move but when it looks inside the movementDirections stack its all empty) I think this is happening because some other mod does it behind the scene. I would suggest that you try remove other mods one by one and test it out to see what mod conflicts with mine. So, here are the incompatibilities I've found so far: -CJB Cheats Menu (Ento's latest patch) -MovementMod (I believe it was Pathos' latest patch to Zoryn's original) Both have aspects that modify movement and/or movement speed, although the CJB Cheats Menu movement speed option hasn't worked in forever.
interesting. So you are able to use the mod normally after you remove those mod then. That's great. Right now I'm making a workaround so I dont have to rely on the facing anymore.
