    Game's been working perfectly for the last 2 updates, no crashes etc.

    But now all I get is the Chucklefish logo and then game freezes at "LOADING"

    Please advice

    From a stickied thread in the support forum;

    Game hanging on logo screen
    We're working on this, but some players are finding that if they just wait it out, they are able eventually to pass the loading screen and get into the game. Try it out!

    I just noticed I get an error message too:
    "access violation detected at 0x529931 (Read of address 0x180)"

    Try seeing if a Starbound.exe is still running under your Task Manager -> Processes.

    Have you restarted Steam, or your computer? Try verifying the integrity of your game cache. If not, try re-downloading Starbound.

    Close the process if it's still running after the crash, and try re-running Starbound.

    You can always just save your character file, it should be somewhere in your Starbound folder under the Steam folder.
