Game Within a Game

Has this thought ever crossed your mind? What if there's a popular card game within Starbound's universe that you can play almost anywhere. Or perhaps a collectible figurine game, where the figurines themselves are rare enemy drops that get stronger depending on the enemy. Or maybe a casino full of minigames. How does any of this sound?

I would like to have a Casino to pass the time. Gambling is the best alternative.

 

I actually really like that idea. I would love some sort of card game system based on Final Fantasy VIII (which IMO was the best, card-game wise)

 

Yeah and if you loose ALL your pixels and owe some money to casino they just squisyh all of your own pixels and you're forced to return to ASCII format graphics.

Something like the fuc!*£# caravan in Fallout New Vegas where no one knew how to play that game ^^ ?

Great idea! I'd love to see a game where the cards/statues/figurines/whatever you play with are found in dungeons and chests, and where you trade them, play to win the opponents best thingy, and these cards/things should be randomly generated so you can have a lot of them!
Trading, gambling (for the cards/things), finding and winning! Awesome

 

are you thinking about like board games, card games etc, or like slot machines? i believe those have been suggested

 

Board/card-style game ("Collectible figurines"). Or at least that's what I was thinking.
