Game not launching new version

ive been waiting for this update for quite awhile, and i was expecting a character wipe.

Then i launched the game noticed i could still login my old characters. Everything was still the same then i noticed on the bottom corner it says Beta v Irritated Koala. Meaning My game hasnt been updated through steam and it launches the older version... which is really annoying i was really looking forward to the patch.

what must I do? I set the game on high priority for updates... Still nothing? is everyone else getting the update some other way?

 

At the moment, the launcher didn't get updated, so it shows the old version/patch notes, but you shouldn't be able to play with an old character. Launcher has been updated to Annoyed Koala.

Steam is usually good at auto-updates, or letting you know that an update is available before playing. Sometimes you need to restart steam.

 

i know.. the launcher is updated and all.... but still launches v irritated koala for me..
