Bug/Issue Game Freezes During First Boss

I'm not sure what exactly is going on in the game, my frames are fine, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, removing all mods and nothing seems to be working. So far, every time I go to fight the first boss, I will deal damage to him one time, but as I go to flip the switches to attack him again, the game will start to slow to a crawl and then ultimately freeze up. I'm not sure if it's just me or if other people are having this problem, but it's keeping me from the rest of the game and I'd like to have it fixed or troubleshooted as soon as possible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

I'm having the same problem. I've been playing on a server, thankfully, so I can do the mission, ask a friend to hopin so I can warp out, and then hop in after he beat the boss to collect the crystals. it seems not everyone is having this problem, but it's crushing.

 

im having it as well... its rather annoying. especially since i just got a pc that could run the 1.0 release.

I tried changing the screen resolution down to its lowest and playing with it windowed and it still freezes. I've had no trouble with freezing before this.

 

same, i have near perfect (as in im very comfortable with my performance) framerate, but right as i take a little damage, boom, lag and lockup. at least i think its damage that does it. didnt happen till i got nicked by its beam

 

I freeze and crash the instant his level 2 lasers start up.

it USED to be level 1, but for some reason, Frackin' Universe fixed that problem. I just wish it worked. I had to make a new character, and I have to wait another 5 hours on my one day off this week, so at 9 PM, to be able to get past the boss, since no one's online until then.

 

After going through many attempts and shamefully debugging a bit of my inventory, it finally let me through. I'm not sure what it was but I think there may be an item that could be bugging the fight or something.
