Closed Game doesn't open, stuck on launcher window

I've played the game on multiplayer the day before, but today when I try to access the game, it does not open, nothing happens when I select launch starbound, or launch starbound openGL. I can still run the server however, so I don't know what I can do to access the game.

 

I have the exact same problem.

 

I also have this problem on my Windows XP computer.

 

Same on Win 7 64 bit.

 

Ya me too. it is really annoying , course it does it to me when i finally get a chance to play it with a friend. he can load it just fine but i spent like 3 hrs last night trying to get on(failing of course) frustrating stuff.

 

Open your Task Manager->Processes then go find Starbound.exe You may or may not have 1 or more starbound.exes there. End them all even if you have just one.

If that doesnt work try

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starbound\win32 (or what ever yours is) then click Starbound (openGL or not doesnt matter) Right click and run as admin.

If they dont work then im not sure

 

Nah, it didn't work but thanks though, went on another cpu that had steam on it downstairs instead of my preferred one in my room. Works down there but its cold =( well sacrifices must be made for now i suppose.

 

same problem here, has been working fine for a while and now i can't launch. reinstalled but no effect.

 

Turn of the "always run in admin" option in the files and it should work again, does for me at least.

I have been playing single player for a while now, but now i am having the same issue as many people it seems, since the update?, i can no longer launch single player, whether just starbound or starbound GL deleted local content and reinstalled, hoping that would fix it, but it did not, stuck at loading screen forever T.T

 

This happens to me, but it gives me an Acess Violation error... If you need more info to help ask for it.
