Bug/Issue Game crashing when trying to load a savefile

a week ago I tried to play Stardew Valley. When I tried to load my save, the game crashed. Even with the new updates it still happens. It said something like "Stardew Valley has stopped working".

ConcernedApe, if you are reading this: I'm not blackmailing you but if it doesn't get fixed I will have to ask a refund. It breaks my heart to say this but there's no other choice. I don't want to pay for a game that randomly corrupts my saves. I could start a new game but who says it won't get corrupt too... It's really sad.

I'll still wait for a bit and see if you fix it soon.

You both should upload your save files so I can see if I can fix this.

Your save file only has NULL values in it and cannot be fixed.
Do you have a backup? If not,
            Try right clicking within the
            C:\Users\Yourname\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves
folder then hit properties, then under the previous versions tab, see if there are any previous version of your save file.
If there is nothing there, I am sorry, you will have to start over.
I suggest making backups next time.
Also there is a save editor you can use to help get some of your progress back:

But do you have an idea of what could have happened? Because it would be really annoying if it happens again.

No I do not. That is beyond me, sorry. What little I know is self taught. CA could probably answer that question though. Maybe tweet him? That seems to be his preferred way of communication.

Ok, so my savefile is dead but I'm really thankful you tried to help me. I had this problem on LBP3 multiple times and it's the worst thing that can happen. Now I won't have to wait for a fix anymore. Thanks again.
