Bug/Issue Game crashing more and more frequently.

    Q2k Void-Bound Voyager

I only recently bought Stardew Valley. I've had it for... maybe a week at the absolute most? And had absolutely no problem with anything until yesterday.

My game started crashing out of nowhere. First it happened just once, then a few hours passed by and it happened again.

Now I can't get past a single day. I've had the game crash on me on the same day four times at various in-game times, various locations, and while doing various things. There's no consistency, the game will just suddenly freeze up.

It's really disappointing and frustrating, and I'm not sure what to do. I hadn't changed anything on my computer, nothing could have possibly caused the game to suddenly start struggling. So now I'm at a loss.

If anyone knows a way to fix this, I'd LOVE some help.

Afraid I have no help... but I do have the same problem! Was there some kind of update?

Its happening for me too, no matter if i use mods or not. I can play sometime for two days straight and crash or crash after few minutes.

I had look through steam forums to see what this could be. Posting your error logs would also for be helpful for others comparing problems. Also system specs, and are you using the GOG or steam version?

You will have to have show hidden files and folders enabled to get to this directory. If you have done that already just skip this. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/show-hidden-files-and-folders-in-windows-vista/
(says Vista in the URl, but it covers other windows too)

          or

(Do a back up of your saves just in case, they are in the same %Appdata% stardew directory as the error logs).

Try validating steam files, fixed some other steam games for me (Back up your mods).

Try running the game as system administrator straight from the Stardew Valley.exe.

Playing over 1440 resolution can cause crashes. Like if you are using a 4k monitor.

Muting in game volume. If it stops crashing when you do this. Then it's a problem with your audio drivers or audio settings. Sometimes unplugging/plugging in headphones, switching between using headphones and other audio devices can cause crashes.

Microsoft XNA 4.0 might need to be reinstalled.

          Uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Disabling "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service" Sometimes fixes it. People with graphic tablets might have issues with this.

Problem with graphics card, so switching game to run on integrated card sometimes fixes this.
(People mostly mention having Nvidia cards with this issue.)

Virus scanner or firewall might be interfering with game. Try white listing game in it.

I don't know if this will fix your problems. I really hope this does, because this is a bummer. Stardew valley has some nit picky things which it will complain about.

game dont generate error log when using mods or generate "Cannot access a disposed object." error log when not using mods. Some time ago i could play for few real days without any problem (without using mods) but game started to crash.

Tried disabling service or running on integrated card or disabling audio - nothing works, game crashes after sometime (you cant predict when it will)

            Running on steam, 1366x768 resolution
