Closed Game Crashed, 60+ Hour Character Deleted

So I have had some problems before with the game crashing, but it wasn't too common so i didn't consider much of it. Today I was just playing as usual, and as I was walking around the game crashed. I had to restart my whole computer because the screen was completely frozen. When I started the game back up, my character that i had spent 60+ hours on was just... gone. It simply wasn't on the list of characters. I have no idea what could've done this, and all I really want to know is if it's possible to get my character back and if anyone else has encountered this problem.
(also, first time posting to the forum so yay)
