Resolved Game crash upon opening navigation screen

As the title says, my game crashes whenever I get in the pilot seat and open the navigation prompt. I'd rather not have to delete my character, but if I have to, I will.

Can you post a copy of your starbound.log?

Also, have you tried making a fresh character to see if this still happens?

Move your universe folder to another location, then try again. Looks like the game is crashing when it attempts to parse the universe data.

When you try this, run the DirectX (non OpenGL) version of the game, for some reason it seems to provide more descriptive error output than the OpenGL version.

If it crashes again, please upload the new starbound.log (from the DirectX version).

I've been playing with the latest Nightly build here, and I've been getting the same error as well even after trying a couple fixes. Looks like they are working on that part of the game right now, there may be a possible fix by playing with the assets, but honestly you'd be better off just waiting for the next nightly update to see if it's resolved.

I got the same error on all my characters that i have tried. I've also tried different tiered ships, just to make sure, but to no avail.

Also, I don't know if it's helpful, but i'm running Windows 7 Home premium 64bit.

 

Latest Nightly does not seem to exhibit this behavior. Marking as resolved.
