So this is where I'll nest any mods I churn out. I'll keep this thread, and any mods in it, updated as frequently as possible or as necessary. I'm also wide open to suggestions so feel free to make them. I'm still fairly new to modding in general so bear with me if I forget something. Anyway, here it goes. Let's start with something small. *Soon to come - "Species of M.E" 5 new playable species from the game series Mass Effect. Complete with ships, items, and more.* Reorganized file structure for proper installation. Links fixed as well. Mods updated for Indignant Koala. Hunger Notice - v0.1 This mod adds a number of different monologues to the hunger messages. I plan on adding alot more to this so its less repetitive. Eventually every time you eat or starve you will read something different. Installation 1. Download Hunger Notice v0.1 here - http://www.mediafire.com/download/enhz55vhk694dgi/Hunger%20Notice.zip 2. Extract with 7-zip or WinRar 3. Place mods folder into your Starbound game directory. Or place the mod itself into your mods folder. 4. Load the mod by either using a mod loader found here - http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/mod-library.43251/ or edit the bootstrap file associated with your operating system as shown here - http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/the-proper-way-to-install-mods.41929/ 5. Play Starbound! If you wish to read these new monologues prior to installing the mod, I present to you another spoiler. { "1" : { "up" : [ "Is this a joke?", "Thanks for the appetizer...", "Scraps...!" ], "down" : [ "Goodbye cruel world", "Why didn't you feed me?" ] }, "5" : { "up" : [ "I'll die if I don't get more substanance.", "My body was eating itself.", "This is one strict diet!" ], "down" : [ "I see a light..", "I wonder how my legs taste?", "Bread, Bugs, ANYTHING!" ] }, "10" : { "up" : [ "More, more! I need more!", "Please Sir, can I have some more?", "I could eat an entire *Alien_Animal_Name*." ], "down" : [ "I can barely stand.", "I feel so weak...", "At this point I'll risk some poisonous fruits." ] }, "15" : { "up" : [ "Must find food!", "If something must die so I may live.", "Who knew bones tasted that good." ], "down" : [ "I can't take it much longer!", "I need a meal really soon!", "Debilitating hunger..." ] }, "25" : { "up" : [ "Nomnomnomnom", "I've been waiting all day", "Sooooo Good!" ], "down" : [ "Sooooo Hungry...", "Ugh, my stomach aches.", "Can you smell that?" ] }, "50" : { "up" : [ "I'm still hungry", "Can I have more?", "Is that all?" ], "down" : [ "Getting pretty hungry", "Feed Me!", "Make me a Sammich!" ] }, "75" : { "up" : [ "A little better", "That'll hold me over", "Don't want to much" ], "down" : [ "Getting peckish", "Could use a snack", "Granola bar?" ] }, "99" : { "up" : [ "Mmm, I'm full!" ], "down" : [ "Mmm, I'm full!" ] }, "100" : { "up" : [ "I said, I'm full!", "Ugh, I'm stuffed!", "Please, no more!" ], "down" : [ "Just ate!", "Ugh, I'm stuffed!", "Losen the belt for now." ] } } MOAR ORE - v2.0 This is another minor mod that simply doubles every value in the oredistributions.lvltables. If you want to cut down the grind for ore this will help. *if you feel it's "too much" ore, I will tweak the numbers." Installation 1. Download MOAR ORE v2.0 here - http://www.mediafire.com/download/qz28eaew07231ap/MOARORE.zip if you only want MOAR ORE above the iron tier (coal, copper, iron) then download MOAR ORE 2 here - http://www.mediafire.com/download/wtk2d7gvch7xkn8/MOARORE2.zip 2. I believe this will only work on new characters and planets you haven't visited yet. Not planets generated and saved prior to installing this mod. (will test in the morning to be sure) *Can't sleep... Tested. Confirmed. Only works on planets you haven't been to yet, unless you make a new character. Usable Laser Miner As far as I could tell, this item is in the files but currently unfinished. So this little mod makes the Laser Miner somewhat functional. I still want to increase its picking range at least 3 fold, but this works nonetheless. I will eventually change the recipe and tier you acquire it. Unless the devs beat me to it. At which point this will most likely get trashed. Installation 1. Download Usable_Laser_Miner v0.1 here - http://www.mediafire.com/download/pxce43swqv9qyjs/Usable%20LaserMiner.zip 2. It only picks one block at a time but at a much faster rate. I may even make it faster. The recipe for now is - "input" : [ { "item" : "goldbar", "count" : 4 }, { "item" : "ironbar", "count" : 20 }, ( "item" : "money", : "count" 2500 } It's durability is at a staggering 9000 and the ores used to repair it are - durabilityRegenChart - [ "Ceruliumore" ], 1750], [ [ "Rubiumore" ], 2200], [ [ "uraniumore" ], 3500], [ [ "plutoniumore" ], 4300], [ [ "solariumore" ], 5250]
They're really more like giant cherries inner monologues... also "it adds dialogues", mister greengrocer sir.
