Actually, examining the files generated by the character generator, they don't actually match there, either (although far less egregiously than here, I'll grant). They totally cheat!
Nicely done, but when it comes to their eyes you need to think about Starbound's art-style rather than Groening's style. The eyes (or rather eye) on Leela and Bender for example could be done if you simply ditched the black outlines and used a white/light-yellow to draw around the black dots that is their eye. That way you keep it nice and Starboundy.
