Bug/Issue Fused With Chest

As you see in the above image (I'm the spiky bit in the bed), I have fused with a chest. I'm pretty sure I got put in this position because my house upgraded while I was sleeping and my chest was in JUST the right spot to merge with me. I tried opening the chest to get things out so I can break it, but I can't open it. I can't break it because there's stuff in there (as in, it's full and I would have to toss a bunch of stuff just to be able to move again). Is there any way I can split the chest and I back apart?

UPDATE: So I decided to just quit and reload to see if that changed anything, and it seems that I was able to get out of my bed by holding A as soon as the save loaded. Afterward I simply opened the chest (I dunno why it wasn't working earlier), took out all the items, and broke the chest. So, while it's not a problem for me anymore, it should still be fixed so this doesn't happen in the future for any other players.
