ok Well i talked with the Owner of the server, it's going to be some time before we see this server again they are doing other things with their life.... so.... yeah do keep following this fourm and try to keep it alive so when they do return they can you know see people care....

 

Well, that'll give the mod developers time to catch up with updates, I'm pretty sure a lot of them are going to take a while to rewrite.

 

is funding the only issue here? or are there other problems?

 

As far as I'm aware, only funding. The owner has been paying out of his own pocket for years and simply can't afford to keep doing so.

 

the owner could also jut ask for donations to help

 

He did last time, not enough people donated to pay back for one month.

If I might ask, just how much are we talking here? I've been wasting most of my money on tf2 items for the past three months, just tossing around hundreds like I could give less than a shit. If I'm gonna be doing that, I might as well put it towards bringing back a server that I seriously enjoyed being on.

 

I can't find the exact posts I'm looking for, but these are some along the context. The latter one is the recent announcement he made about the server being down.

He also hinted that the estimated amount due the first time around was >$200.

 

I could easily offer up a hundred of my own paycheck for the next few months. I just need some time after the new year to raise up my savings to pay for some insurance bills, then i'd be set for another 6 months.

My one and only issue is that I don't really like paypal... If I could just pay directly to Snow, without the use of paypal, that'd be great.
Or at least, pay into her account without needing one myself.

Sucks you have to pay money just to open a server for a game that you already payed for... I mean where is the logic in that? Free To Play games like Team Fortress Two I can understand, since its a free game, you have to make money on it some how. But paying money on a purchased game? Why is that even a thing? It kinda kills the whole multiplayer function a bit for me. I haven't played this game in months because of this server being down. There just isn't many other servers that have at least a few of these mods. I mean I would love to play one that had the Avali race in it.

 

You CAN make your own free server, but it would not be able to handle the stress of the players and mods to the capacity we'd need. We pay third parties to host it for us, as they have the technology and can make a buck off of it.

 

Soo, what's going on? Any new news? Server? Mod list? Anything? This place is slowly dying

 

Nothing to my knowledge, but we can just act like a community on here. That can keep us thriving until things start going right.
